Opposition political groups are intensifying efforts to build a united platform ahead of the 2027 general elections, with the G-100 advocating a four-year single presidential term.
The group says the proposal is part of a broader agenda aimed at reforming Nigeria’s political system and promoting stronger democratic institutions.
The opposition coalition is also working towards producing a common presidential candidate capable of challenging President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election.
The push comes amid ongoing consultations among opposition parties and political figures seeking greater cooperation ahead of the polls.
