The All Progressives Congress (APC) says it has completed the upload of its candidates for all elective positions in the 2027 general elections on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal.
The party’s National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, disclosed this after the exercise was completed ahead of INEC’s original deadline.
Yilwatda said the process, which covered candidates from the State Houses of Assembly to the presidential election, demonstrated the party’s preparedness and organisational capacity ahead of the elections.
He said the exercise involved coordination between the APC national secretariat, state chapters, candidates and election management teams across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Skyline News reports that INEC has extended the deadline for political parties to submit their candidates’ lists from August 8 to August 11, 2026.
Yilwatda urged Nigerians to assess political parties not only by their campaign promises but also by their level of organisation, compliance with electoral regulations and preparedness for elections.
He said the APC would now focus on other aspects of its 2027 preparations, including campaign coordination, voter mobilisation, grassroots organisation and policy communication.
