The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, has announced approved fares ranging from ₦7,560,822 to ₦7,882,822 for Nigerian pilgrims participating in the 2027 Hajj.
The commission disclosed this in a public notice issued on Friday, saying the fares were approved by the Federal Government after consultations with State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards and service providers in Saudi Arabia.
Under the new fare structure, pilgrims departing from the Maiduguri/Yola zone will pay ₦7,560,822, while those from the Northern Zone will pay ₦7,672,822. Pilgrims from the Southern Zone will pay ₦7,882,822.
NAHCON said the fares were determined based on prevailing exchange rates and the cost of services required for the pilgrimage.
The commission also said pilgrims who had already paid the initial ₦5 million deposit would be required to pay the outstanding balance to complete their registration.
Those from Maiduguri/Yola will pay an additional ₦2,560,822, while Northern Zone pilgrims will pay ₦2,672,822 and Southern Zone pilgrims will pay ₦2,882,822.
NAHCON directed new intending pilgrims to make payments through their respective State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, Agencies or Commissions, or participating banks under the Hajj Savings Scheme.
The commission fixed September 26, 2026, as the final deadline for uploading the biometric data of all intending pilgrims on the Nusuk-Masar digital platform.
It also directed states to complete the remittance of all 2027 Hajj fares by December 2, 2026.
NAHCON warned that the deadlines would not be extended and that failure to meet the requirements could lead to the forfeiture of allocated Hajj slots.
The commission urged states and intending pilgrims to complete all payment and biometric registration requirements within the stipulated deadlines.
