The Senate says preparations for the 2027 general elections will not derail the ongoing constitutional amendment process.
The assurance comes amid concerns that increasing political activity could slow down or ultimately frustrate the review exercise.
Senate spokesman Yemi Adaramodu said the National Assembly remains committed to completing the proposed amendments before the expiration of the 10th Assembly.
The process is being closely watched because previous attempts at constitutional reform failed to produce comprehensive changes.
