Enugu Air has confirmed that one of its aircraft veered off the runway after landing at Benin Airport on Thursday.
The airline said all passengers and crew members were safely evacuated from the aircraft, with no injuries or fatalities recorded.
According to the airline, the aircraft has been secured, while the relevant aviation authorities have been notified in line with established procedures. It added that an assessment is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Enugu Air also warned that the occurrence could lead to temporary adjustments to some flight schedules, noting that affected passengers would be contacted directly and provided with the necessary assistance.
The airline reaffirmed its commitment to passenger safety, stating that the safety of its passengers, crew and operations remained its highest priority and that further updates would be communicated through its official channels.
