Spanish champions Barcelona have completed the signing of German forward Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund on a five-year contract.
The 24-year-old joins the Catalan club in a deal reportedly worth €29 million, including potential add ons, and is expected to remain at the club until June 2031.
Adeyemi becomes Barcelona’s second signing of the summer after the arrival of England international Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United.
The versatile attacker, who can play as a striker or on either wing, strengthens Barcelona’s frontline following the departure of veteran forward Robert Lewandowski and the end of Marcus Rashford’s loan spell from Manchester United.
Adeyemi made 146 appearances for Borussia Dortmund after joining from Red Bull Salzburg in 2022, scoring 36 goals in all competitions.
Barcelona are also reported to be pursuing Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez as they continue to reinforce their squad ahead of the new season.
