Defence Minister Christopher Musa has dismissed reports claiming he has resigned, describing them as false and misleading.
Musa, who was appointed Minister of Defence by President Tinubu on December 2, 2025, previously served as the Chief of Defence Staff from July 2023.
Speaking after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Tuesday, Musa said he had no plans to leave office and was surprised by the rumours.
He warned that those responsible for spreading the false reports would face legal action, adding that they would be made to explain the source of the information.
According to the minister, the rumours are an attempt to undermine the government’s progress in tackling insecurity.
